Inspect missing lines, duplicates and open contours after tracing

Inspect the overall drawing first, local connections next, and duplicate or fragmented marks afterwards. The browser preview helps locate suspect areas. Check actual geometry in CAD software when closure, dimensions or downstream processing matter.

Compare the complete drawing first

Check that the views and major outlines are present and that borders or notes have been retained as intended. Similar viewing extents make it easier to notice a missing region or unwanted source content.

For multiview drawings, review the front, side and plan regions separately. A complete-looking region does not validate the others. Mark areas for closer inspection before editing individual segments.

Locate possible gaps with entity highlights

The interactive preview can emphasize an individual entity on hover or click and display endpoints for open paths. Inspect adjacent segments individually instead of judging only whether their screen strokes appear to touch. Closed or compound paths do not receive invented endpoints.

A gap of a few screen pixels is not a reliable engineering measurement. Check endpoint coordinates, connections or contour closure in CAD software when the gap affects the intended use.

Distinguish duplicates, adjacent edges and stroke appearance

Two nearby lines may represent a real double-line feature or unwanted extra geometry. Compare with the source and inspect them separately before deleting a wall thickness or adjacent boundary. A thick screen stroke does not prove that duplicate entities exist.

Normal preview strokes use screen-pixel widths to remain legible while zooming. Their appearance does not certify the engineering lineweight of the downloaded file. Highlighting is an inspection aid and does not edit the delivered geometry.

Finish according to the intended workflow

Further drafting may require new lines, trimming and dimensions. A downstream tool that needs closed contours has its own input requirements. A visible SVG preview does not establish readiness for every manufacturing application.

After each edit, compare the surrounding structure with the source. Reopen the saved drawing and check important outlines, labels and scale. Keep the downloaded original for reference.

  1. Compare the source and preview by region.
  2. Highlight suspect entities and inspect endpoints.
  3. Measure and check duplication or closure in CAD software.
  4. Reopen the revised file for a final inspection.
